procon is an exploratory project wherein I am implementing the same small app using multiple frameworks (and potentially methodologies). It exists to broaden my horizons. I've spent the vast majority of my career in PHP + MySQL + Bootstrap and I need to get out more so here we are.
Feel free to look at the specs, but there are three main parts to procon:Users will create topics, leave perspectives on topics that others have created, and be able to see how everyone feels about everything. Reactions track whether a perspective is considered valuable or not to help bubble up higher-quality perspectives. They also track the sentiment of the perspective.
The app is meant to have just enough complexity to be non-trivial yet also simple enough to be not take inordinate amounts of time to implement. The complexity required should give me enough of a work out in the languages, frameworks, and methodologies I select to help me grow my skills.
